Born on 16 May 1936 in central India, his father was an Ayurvedic doctor commonly known as “Vaidya” and his elder brother a renowned writer. He graduated high school from his hometown.
His passion for arts was evident in the early years of his childhood as he drew on the walls of his home and the neighborhood using the piece of charcoal. His father discerned this and got him supplies to let him color his thoughts.
He was a born artist and passionate about sketching and painting. He worked as an artist throughout his life and served at the state electricity board as the chief artist for more than 3 decades. He worked as a freelance commercial artist for designs and illustrations for books, magazines, novels, etc.
